How to get to the Empire Neighborhood
- From the North: Take Hwy 159 South for 10 miles after passing through Fairview Heights, Illinois. Continue South for one block around the Veteran's Memorial Fountain at the center of Belleville's square (You'll have to swerve to miss it!) The Empire Neighborhood is at the corner of East Washington Street and Illinois Street (Hwy 159). Park and enjoy a stroll through our historic streets.
- From the South: Take Hwy 159 North for 10 miles after you pass through Smithton. You will pass the St Clair County Fairgrounds on your right. As soon as you pass Route 15 and Route 13 you will be traveling on Illinois Street (Hwy 159) along The Empire Neighborhood's west boundary.
- From St Louis: Take Eads Bridge and E Broadway to Old Missouri Avenue in East St Louis. Drive from IL-15 to Belleville. Exit from IL-15 E. Take Rte 159 North past South Belt East. You will be traveling on Illinois Street (Hwy 159) along The Empire Neighborhood's west boundary.
